Synopsis

"Celebration: The Story of Israeli Cinema" is a milestone documentary that challenges the way we think about the history of Israeli cinema. Combining hundreds of interviews with rare archival footage, the film follows Israeli cinema from the sixties up to these days, exploring the key figures of Israeli cinema and their films.

Celebration: The Story of Israeli Cinema - Arik Bernstein Arik Bernstein has been a leading force in the Israeli film industry for the past 25 years. He has initiated and overseen numerous documentaries, drama and documentary series, as well as a multitude of international co-productions. His films and programs have been screened in major film and TV festivals worldwide, and have been awarded numerous Israeli and international prizes. Bernstein is a graduate of the Film Program at the Tisch School for the Arts at NYU.

Celebration: The Story of Israeli Cinema - Mike Burstyn Burstyn is an award-winning actor whose career has spanned Yiddish theatre, Broadway and film. Find out more about Mike Burstyn.
