Synopsis

The compelling and haunting sounds of Jewish revival come alive as 100 cantors perform in Warsaw's major concert hall. This musical tribute follows the worlds finest cantors on a performance tour through Poland, the birthplace of chazzanut.

This soulful mission helped to revive Jewish culture and commemorate the millennium of Poland's once-flourishing Jewish culture. Concerts from Warsaw to Krakow, to a soul-stirring service at the gates of Auschwitz, celebrate the resilience of Jewish tradition and the power of music. Along the journey, several of the cantors find their way back to their family roots when they visit the homes of their parents and grandparents.

FOLLOWING THE FILM

Cantor Devorah Felder-Levy of Congregation Shir Hadash,
Rabbi Philip R. Ohriner of Congregation Beth David and
Cantor Meeka Simerly of Temple Emanu-El will perform
in concert and offer their renditions of many of the familiar
sounds that are included in the movie. It won't be "100
Voices," but it will be a unique cantorial performance.

Co-sponsored by Congregation Beth David,
Congregation Shir Hadash & Temple Emanu-El
