Synopsis

The Chabad-Lubavich movement sends its emissaries to any country, however remote, where Jews are known to live. This film follows Israeli rabbi Menachem Hartman, his wife Racheli and baby Levi to Ho Chi Minh City, where they are to establish the first Chabad House in Vietnam. The young couple arrives in Vietnam just weeks before Rosh Hashanah, and hurriedly set out to prepare for the holidays. Learning local customs while adhering to Jewish law, and finding local Jews proves to be challenging, but our travelers soon are delivering Yiddishkeit and kosher food to more expatriates and travelers than one would ever have imagined.

Double Feature

Shown with Leaving the Fold.
